About Our Business
Giffin's started with a love of fabricating and hot rodding. This love affair
with metal and automobiles started as far back as John could remember.
Back in the days as a small lad working in his father Hugh's MG
restoration business. From there it was dirt bikes, race teams in high
school and then on to becoming a certified master technician with
General Motors. All the while modifying, customizing and racing all
manner of motorized vehicles.
The business itself started after meeting and marrying his wife
Colleen. Friends were always asking for parts to be built and modified.
So as word of mouth spread, and with two kids and a house, John turned
his love affair into a side business. That was 9 years ago and Giffin's
continues to grow.
We have now added Jim Folley, an old school drag racer with a wealth
of knowledge and nostalgia, and Derek Lavin, a younger generation of
hot rodder with extensive PCM, electronics, and turbo knowledge, to our
staff. This, combined with Johns fabrication abilities, nicely rounds out
the shops talent pool.
